Our Projects

Ramsey County Library

Ramsey County

Project Type: Energy Project

Location: St. Paul, MN

Project Cost: $22.3 Million

Annual Savings: $670,924

inBYLT partnered with Ramsey County to deliver a comprehensive, county-wide energy and facility improvement program designed to enhance building performance, reduce long-term operating costs, and advance the County’s sustainability goals. The initiative began with detailed facility assessments to evaluate infrastructure conditions and identify opportunities for modernization and energy savings across multiple County-owned buildings.

The resulting program encompasses LED lighting retrofits, building envelope upgrades, advanced controls integration, HVAC replacements, and extensive water conservation measures. A key feature of the project includes the installation of over 2 megawatts of rooftop and ground-mounted solar arrays, strategically designed to leverage the Investment Tax Credit (ITC) Direct Pay provision for maximum financial return.

Together, these improvements significantly reduce energy consumption, improve occupant comfort, and extend the useful life of County assets—all while aligning with Ramsey County’s broader sustainability and climate action objectives.

City of Maple Grove

Project Type: Energy Project

Project Location: Maple Grove, MN

Project Cost: $9.2 Million

Annual Savings: $348,650

This project started with a comprehensive sustainability initiative, inBYLT designed and implemented various efficiency improvements and solar installations. Over a nine-month span, the project encompassed more than 20 city-owned buildings selected for deferred maintenance, efficiency improvements, and/or solar installations. The scope included diverse structures, ranging from municipal offices to recreational facilities. The planning and execution aimed not only at harnessing renewable energy but also at transforming some buildings into net-zero energy structures—anticipated to generate more solar energy annually than they consume.

City of Brooklyn Park

Project Type: Energy Project

Project Location: Brooklyn Park, MN

Project Cost: $2.6 Million

Annual Savings: $45,800

The project involved the installation of 1.5 MW of solar across six different sites within the City. In addition, inBYLT collaborated with the City on a second phase solar project at the Fire Station, adding 40 kW of rooftop solar. All systems are building-connected, operating behind the meter. Once the designs were finalized, inBYLT worked with several third-party tax investors to develop the most advantageous financial package for the City.
